Product Description

The 9907-072 power supply unit from Woodward is fully encased in a durable aluminum chassis with an integrated passive thermal cooler (as seen in the pictures above). Must like a massive laptop charger, or voltage surge protector you may have at home, the 9907-072 main purpose is to take fluctuating currents and level them out so that power is much safer and more regulated for your heavy machinery. In most cases of a voltage spike or plant failure, this relatively cheap device will take most of the damage, protecting your expensive equipment and saving your business from even more expensive downtime.

While not entirely necessary, our technicians highly recommend attaching cables to the green AC FAIL and PWR ALM terminals as these relay information to the 9907-072 LEDs for normal operation or in case of a system fault. This power supply offers the ability to be manually reset in case of said system fault.

Installation, operation, and troubleshooting of the 9907-072 Power Supply should be performed by a knowledgeable professional. Due to the nature of most of the case being an integrated cooler, if wires are attached incorrectly or there is an abnormal voltage spike, the entire chassis (particularly the thermal dissipater) could potentially reach temperatures over 150°F. As stated by the National Institute for Standards and Technology, temperatures over 120°F could easily result in burn injuries.
