About the 8235-305
Woodward’s 8235-305 ProAct and ProAct Plus Driver and Actuator Model is primarily used to control the flow output, this function is done through the butterfly valves. This model was designed to minimize the leakage of the charged fuel/air mixture. The model has been specifically designed to be used with either gaseous or diesel-fueled engines. The size of the model was designed for specific flows, the flow of this model will be eighty-five degrees Celsius.
The 8235-305 model uses a PISC II Actuator when being operated. This model will replace any model that requires more flexibility within control strategies, one of which is idle/rated dynamics. This model will direct replace any models that were traditional throttle valves, the replacement will not require any type of linkage between actuators and valves.
When the 8235-305 model is being connected the approx location of the CG from the Valve Bore Centerline should be no more or less than one hundred and thirty-nine millimeters. If your model malfunctions and causes the governor to not function properly look into the possibility of recalibrating the 8235-305 model. If any other troubleshooting error occurs refer to chapter three within the 26265 ProAct User’s Guide.
