About the 8235-337
ProAct and ProAct Plus Actuator and Driver Model 8235-337 is produced by Woodward Incorporated out of Fort Collins, Colorado. This model is an Integrated Throttle Body that has electric actuators which are used for throttle air or fuel/air for gaseous engine types.
The model can be configured as a proportional actuator in which the speed control functionality can be disabled. The normal piping size (DN) should be at 95 with an absolute working pressure of two hundred and five degrees Celsius. When operating the 8235-337 model the maximum flow medium temperature should be at four hundred and one degrees Fahrenheit (two-hundred and five degrees Celsius).
The 8235-337 model was specifically designed to directly replace traditional throttle values, as such linkages between the actuators and valves are no longer required. The actuator model used with the 8235-337 model is the PISC II actuator.
The ProAct ISC Integrated Speed Control Actuator Models I through IV 26246 manual details information on the PISC II model, which this model is. The PISC II model is specifically designed to be mounted on the valve flange. The power of this model should read at a capacity of at minimum 15 A. The PISC II model also has a different torque output compared to the other PISC models, the transient torque output for a model II is 46 lb-in, with a continuous torque output of 23 lb-in.
