About the 8235-350
Woodward model 8235-350 is part of the ProAct and ProAct Plus Actuators and Driver series. This specific model is a ProAct Actuator with Integrated Speed Control with an Integrated Throttle Body. The 8235-350 model requires at minimum a gap of .5 mm between the support bracket and electronics closure. This is necessary due to the fact that the enclosure is supported on vibration isolators when being supported on these isolators high-frequency vibrations are filtered out and prevented from reaching the electronics.
While this model requires a model III PISC model it does not differ from the previous PISC II model in relation to its power requirements. The power requirements are still a voltage range of 18 to 32 VDC and has a current capacity of at least 15 A. When fused the third model differs from the previous models as it has a greater fast blow with a 20 A fast blow compared to the lesser 15 A fast blow.
The 8235-350 model requires O-Rngs for the grooves on the flanges for the attaching actuator. Those O-Rngs will be Parker 2-255 Rngs. When mounting this unit be advised that it should be mounted as a base mount, this must occur due to the high mass on the actuator as well as the increased lever arm between the center of gravity and the center of the bore. If you have any questions regarding mounting applications, and technical errors please refer to the Woodward 26265 manual, this is the primary manual for the series.
