About the 8235-371
Woodward ProAct/ProAct Plus Actuator and Driver Model 8235-371 is a P-Series III unit. The P-Series III model does have an Integrated Throttle Body. This model was designed as a throttle valve that has an embedded actuator used to throttle air or throttle fuel/air when being used with gaseous engines. As this model was produced to directly replace traditional throttle valves it requires no linkage between the actuator and the valve itself.
The 8235-371 model was designed to be base-mounted but in some circumstances can be flange-mounted. When the model is being flange-mounted it is required to assess the vibration level to ensure that there will only be a low level of stress on the attached component. When mounted a minimum gap of .5 mm is required, if the bracket and electronics enclosure come into contact with each other the isolation feature will be defeated and may hinder the operation of the electronic as well as the electronics operating life-span.
During operation, the 8235-371 model should have a temperature range of -40 to 85 degrees Celsius or -40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit. Any temperatures higher or lower than those listed will cause errors and extreme hazards. To ensure that injuries are minimized please wear protective gear to keep any injuries or possible hospitalizations from occurring.
While the 8235-371 model has a specific manual it is very difficult to find online at this time so the best manual to use would be the Woodward 26265 manual. The 26265 manual provides information on the P-Series ITB models. The P-Series ITB models are the same as the PISC ITB models that are referred to in the 26265 manual.
