About the 8200-205

This part is a digital overspeed protection device that utilizes three magnetic pickups connected to three separate speed-sensing units to continually monitor prime mover speed for overspeed or loss-of-signal conditions. Model 8200-205 is the 220 Vac input, de-energize-to-trip version in this Woodward ProTech series.

These units can be switched between PROGRAM and MONITOR modes only with key lock access, preventing unauthorized changes.  There are two methods for turbine start available with the ProTech 203 8200-205 system. One method provides separate start and resets functions; the other method provides a combined start/reset function.

Details on these two turbine start options, environment requirements of the 8200-205, installation instructions, and more, can be found online in the Woodward ProTech 203 Overspeed Protection System Installation and Operation Manual 85205 (F).
