About the 8200-225
The 8200-225 Servo Position Controller (SPC) model which is manufactured by Woodward INC and is available from AX Control Incs's wide array of new surplus and reconditioned secondhand inventory acts as a servo-valve driver, outfitted with accuracy, redundancy, and response timing needed for most makes of gas/steam turbine fuel control systems. This unit can accept a standard connection from a DeviceNet position demand signal or one based within a range of 4 to 20 mA. This connection allows the 8200-225 model to position both proportional and integrating servo-valves accurately.
The 8200-225 is designed with a standard DC power input, requiring at least 18 Vdc to a max of 32 Vdc. The maximum continuous current allowed is 1.1 Note that the standard environmental specifications apply to this model, with an operational temperature range from -40 to 70 degrees C. You can connect your 8200-225 model to either a DeviceNet port or a Service Port. It is crucial to note that when you are connecting your controller to a DeviceNet port the node isolation on the DeviceNet reads at 500 Vrms anything other than this will potentially cause your controller to not function as you need it to do.
Model 8200-225 can be used in four different operating modes, one of those modes is the calibration mode. A characteristic of the calibration mode is the actuator position (pneumatic or hydraulic) will change depending on the force of the fixed currents, the only time that the position will not change is when going through the verification portion of the calibration method.
