The 9905-008 is a WoodWard SPM-A synchronizer and is designed as a phase-locked loop synchronizer module. It can be used for industrial, three phase AC generators. This unit is able to accurately match the frequency and phase of the generator by biasing the speed, which then issues an automatic contact closure signal in order to close the circuit breaker between the two. The 9905-008 model is designed with a frequency range of up to 400 hertz, and has a phase angle limited to plus or minus 10 degrees, as well as a 1 percent capacity for voltage matching.
The input and output specifications for this model include an input voltage of 115 to 230 V/AC, RMS, and a 50 to 60 hertz frequency range. This includes both the bus and generator inputs. The power tolerance has a range of plus or minus 10 percent, and a maximum power consumption of 5 watts. The 9905-008’s outputs are designed with both high and low impedance settings.
