About the EA1-S6ML

Automation Direct makes C-more micro touch screen operator interfaces such as EA1-S6ML. The 128 x 64 pixel display is a 3.1 inch STN LCD monochrome interface. The screen has 5 selectable colors (red, green, amber, lime, or yellow), as well as an LED backlight, 5 user defined function keys, an RS-232 (RJ12 port), and a NEMA 4/4X IP65 rated case (for indoor use only). This display does not support portrait mode. The user must operate the display in landscape mode.

Some common problems may occur when installing and operating the C-more Micro-Graphic panel. If the panel does not power up, check the incoming DC voltage level with a voltmeter to see if the incoming voltage is in the correct range. Check the fusing in the circuit if the incoming DC voltage is zero, and if the fuse is open, determine the cause and replace. If the display panel is blank, check the TxD and the RxD indicators on the back side of the panel. These indicators must be checked while the panel is communicating with the PLC, and they should be flashing at a fast rate or solid. Also check the PLC program and make sure that it is not forcing a blank screen to be displayed. If the display is dim, the user may access the System Setup Screen menu by pressing the F1 and F5 keys simultaneously for three seconds. Adjust the LCD contrast. The default contrast value for the display panel is 3. If the contrast does not adjust, replace the panel.
