About the H0-PSCM-M

The H0-PSCM is a Profibus slave communications module for the DirectLogic 05 Series and is also compatible with the DirectLogic 06 Series. This product is manufactured by Automation Direct. The H0-PSCM communications module has 4 ports with one RS-485 serial port. Please note that this port is equipped with a 9-pin D-sub. It supports Profibus DP protocol and supports a port speed of 12 Mbps. When installing the H0-PSCM into a system, the user must ensure he uses ERNI communication connectors. To program your module, please use the DirectSOFT programming software. You must use version 4 or any later version. This module must be installed into the PLC option slot of your system.

As a slave device, the H0-PSCM acts as a peripheral device, collecting information then transferring the collected information via the output points to the peripherals in the system. The device has four LED status indicators, all of which are labeled. The first status indicator labeled STA communicates status to the user. When this indicator is on, the powerup check for the module has passed; if, however, it is off, the module failed the powerup check. The second indicator, located to the right of the STA LED, is the ERR (or error) indicator. This indicator will only turn on if the watchdog timer has timed out. Below this LED is the ACT (or active) indicator. When it is on, the system configuration is correct and operating smoothly. If this light is off, the configuration is incorrect. The fourth and final LED is located to the left of the ACT light and below the STA indicator. This light is the LINK LED. When this LED is powered on, the configuration is correct and running. If this LED is off, the device is not connected to the network or the configuration is incorrect.
