About the D2-16NA

D2-16NA is a discrete AC input module manufactured by Automation Direct, Facts Engineering, and Koyo. This module is one of a number of installable devices designed to interface with DirectLogic 205 series programmable logic controllers. Featuring a full sixteen input points, half of these points feed directly to one of two isolated commons found on the module. It can support input voltages ranging from 80 to 132 VAC, with 132 VAC acting as the peak voltage. A frequency range between 47 and 63 Hz accompanies the input voltage.

A maximum base power of 100 mA is required for the module. The minimum ON current measures 5 mA and the maximum OFF current is 2 mA. D2-16NA requires a minimum of 70 VAC to register an ON voltage level, while OFF voltage requires a maximum of 20 VAC.

To maintain the module, be sure to follow all necessary storage and installation parameters. D2-16NA is designed for effortless installation and removal. Uninstalling and removing the module from the PLC is simple, as the terminal block detaches from the unit without having to rewire.
