About the D2-32ND3-2
D2-32ND3-2 is a DC input module developed by Automation Direct, Facts Engineering, and Koyo. This module is a member of the DirectLogic 205 series, with all modules compatible with DL205 programmable logic controllers. Featured on the module are 32 sink/source input points with four isolated commons. Eight terminal points are fed into a single common. The minimum input voltage for the module is 4.50 VDC, while the maximum input is 15.6 VDC, with peak voltage at 16 VDC. Input currents vary depending on VDC input. If inputting 5 VDC, the input current measures 4 mA, while 15 VDC registers an input current of 14 mA. The maximum sustained input current level is 16 mA at 15.6 VDC.
A number of minimum and maximum voltage and current requirements require monitoring. To register an ON voltage, measured voltage levels must reach at least 4 VDC to operate. For an OFF voltage reading, sustained inputs should read no higher than 2 VDC. Current levels must also be accounted for, with the minimum ON current reading at 3 mA and the maximum off current registering at 0.5 mA. The face of the module features an LED status indicator and a 40-pin connector.
Following all installation and storage parameters is necessary in maintaining the module's hardware. Design features of D2-32ND3-2 include a streamlined installation and removal process. The terminal block on the module is easily removable, allowing the user to do so without interfering with the wiring of the controller. All wiring and installation graphics are found in the DirectLogic 205 series manual. Technical support for this module was originally offered by the manufacturers. Please refer to the corresponding manual and datasheet for a comprehensive safety and installation guide.
