The F2-08AD-2, 8-Channel Analog Voltage Input Module is a 8-Channel analog input voltage module. The input range is 0-5 VDC and 0-10 VDC. The number of channels is 8, single ended (one common). The resolution is 12 bit (1 in 4096) unipolar (0-4095) 13 bit (1 in 8192) bipolar (- 4095 -+4095). The power budget requirement is 100mA (* 60mA) maximum, 5VDC (supplied by base). The environmental air requirement is no corrosive gases permitted. The operating temperature 0-60°C (32-140°F). The relative humidity 5–95% (non-condensing).
The PLC update rate is 1 channel per scan maximum (DL230 CPU) 8 channels per scan maximum (DL240/250 – 1/260 CPU). The input points requirement is 12 binary data bits, 1 sign bit 3 channel ID bits, 1 diagnostic bit 16 point (X) input module.
The F2-08AD-2 can be installed in any slot in a DL205. Considerations are the available power budget and the discrete I/O points. The analog input module appears as a 16-point discrete input module in configuration.
The F2-08AD-2 has some firmware requirements.
