About the T1F-16AD-2
The Automation Direct Facts Engineering Koyo T1F-16AD-2 is a sixteen channel analog voltage input module. A member of the Terminator I/O series, this module can interface with a variety of programmable logic controller and peripheral devices. Each of the sixteen channels terminates into a single common. The module’s 14-bit resolution works to precisely convert incoming analog voltage signals into PLC digestible digital signals. The device accepts two input ranges, 0-5 V and 0-10 V, ±5V, ±10V, with a frequency response of -3 db at 500 Hz, -20 db/decade.
Monitoring voltage inputs to the device helps to preserve the circuitry of the device. A fault protected input minimizes power surges, allowing an absolute maximum rating of 130 V (rms) or 100 VDC. T1F-16AD-2 needs a base power requirement of 75mA at 5VDC to operate. When preparing to use the module, be sure to purchase the corresponding mounting rack for proper installation. By using the correct mounting device, the module offers simple installation. A quick snap will install and uninstall the device, creating an easy and efficient way to replace PLC and module parts.
Following all storage and installation parameters helps to preserve the integrity of the module. Once installing T1F-16AD-2, be sure to mount it horizontally. This orientation will allow air to circulate around the device, acting as a cooling agent. Ambient temperatures around the device should be monitored as well. When operating, temperatures can range from 0℃ to 55℃, or 32℉ to 131℉. When not in use, storage temperatures can affect the device as well. Temperatures of the storage facility can fall as low as -20℃, or -4℉, and can raise as high as 70℃, or 158℉. A complete guide to installing and wiring the module can be found in the device manual and datasheet. The manufacturers, Koyo and Automation Direct, provided original technical support for the module.
