About the T1F-16DA-1
The Automation Direct sixteen-channel analog current output module T1F-16DA-1 is a member of the Terminator I/O series that supports communication with several programmable logic controllers and peripheral devices. All channels terminate into a single common, providing a single-ended output type. An integrated 12-bit resolution converts outgoing digital signals into analog currents, an acceptable medium for connected devices.
Voltage and current levels of the module require routine monitoring to preserve the device. Two output current ranges, 0-20mA, and 4-20mA, are supported by T1F-16DA-1. The peak output voltage and maximum loop supply will measure 30 VDC. Base power requirements of the device average 75 mA at 5 VDC. Before installing the module, purchase the separately sold required mounting base. This mounting features a key design element of the series, allowing for snap installation. A simple snap secures the module and releases it from the mounting, allowing for quick part replacement.
Be sure to follow all installation and safety protocols to maintain the T1F-16DA-1 module's integrity. A horizontal mounting of the device is required, allowing air to circulate the module. This increased airflow acts as a cooling agent, preventing T1F-16DA-1 from overheating. Ambient temperatures of the operating facility should be maintained within the outlined range. Temperatures can safely range from 0°C to 60°C or 32°F to 140°F. Storage temperatures offer more flexibility, with safe ranges dipping to -4°C, or -20°F, and raising to 70°C, or 158°F. Refer to the series user manual and device datasheet for a comprehensive list of installation and wiring parameters.
