About the T1K-16B
The T1K-16B is a full-size 3-row terminal base for the DIN-mounted I/O system of field bus termination modules manufactured by Automation Direct and DirectLogic.
The T1K-16B has 48-pin screw clamps located in three rows. These require 12 AWG wiring. The unit weighs 220 grams. Recessed screw heads on this unit are designed to minimize the risk of electrical shock from touching active wiring. Field device power should be checked before removing the wiring.
When wiring any unit in this system, wire trays should be used for routing whenever possible. Wires should be kept as short as possible. Input and output wiring should not be run close together if possible. Additionally, multiple wires should be used for long-distance return lines to help reduce voltage drops. If it is possible to add external fuses to external wiring, this may reduce the risk of having a module blow a fuse.
