About the T1K-16TD1
Manufactured by Automation Direct, the T1K-16TD1 module is part of the DirectLogic 205 and T1 Series. This unit is one of the discrete output modules designed to operate with the Terminator I/O line, also produced by Automation Direct. This module is used in conjunction with the Termination system to merge the functions of the I/O modules and terminal blocks to aid in the distribution of I/Os.
The module has sixteen current sinking outputs and is considered a successor or sister to the T1K-08TD1 unit. When the T1K-16TD1 module is being used in the T1 or DirectLogic 205 series, a base is required; these bases are T1K-16B or T1K-16B-1; these bases must be purchased independently of the T1K-16TD1 unit. This unit also has commons on the module; the commons are four internally connected modules. During the operation of this module, it is often used with a central processing unit (CPU) in the T1 series. The CPU that the T1K-16TD1 is most often used with the T1H-DM1 or T1H-DM1E units.
The T1K-16TD1 unit has a variety of technical specifications that are vital to the proper function of the unit as well as the connected I/O modules and terminal blocks. This unit will operate on a voltage range of 6-27 VDC, with an output voltage range of 5-30 VDC. The T1K-16TD1 unit includes four error status indicators; FU1/FU2 ON indicates that the first and second fuses have blown, and FU3/FU4 ON indicates that the third and fourth fuses have blown. For more information regarding the technical specifications of this module, refer to the attached datasheet. For more information on how this unit will work with the DirectLogic 205 or T1 series CPUs, refer to the T1H-DM-M Hardware Manual.
