About the T1K-MODBUS
The T1K-MODBUS Base Controller is a DirectLogic 205 slave module. The T1K Slave Module is designed for use alongside I/O modules/bases on a MODBUS network in a “scan-based,” or polled, system.
There are status LEDs on the module face, four to indicate communication status, and two for module status. Status conditions include good power, receiving data, transmitting data, communication with the Master, communication error, and I/O system error.
An Output Enable/Disable Switch, an RJ12 serial port (6-pin female module connector), and two Unit Rotary Address Switches are also on the module face. An RS232C, RS–422/485 MODBUS port is located on the underside of the unit. This port uses a 15–pin female D–shell connector.
The DirectLogic T1K-MODBUS Base Controller supports both Discrete I/O and Analog I/O module types. It can handle a maximum of 1024 discrete inputs and 1024 discrete outputs, and a maximum of 64 analog input channels and 64 analog output channels.
Self-diagnostics come standard in the T1K-MODBUS Base Controller, utilizing Watchdog Timer and Memory Check. This controller also has a hot-swap feature should the need arise. Terminator I/O MODBUS Base Controller User Manual Number T1K–MODBUS–M has more information on this DirectLogic 205 module.
