About the F3-08THM-K
The Automation Direct Facts Engineering Koyo F3-08THM-K is an eight channel thermocouple input module. A member of the DirectLogic 305 series, this module interfaces with logic controllers and peripheral devices. Differential thermocouple inputs are featured on the module, with all eight terminating separately. The only accepted thermocouple range for this device is the Type K range. Incoming data is precise and accurate, highlighting the integrated linearization and filtering systems. Incoming data is kept precise with a 12-bit resolution working to convert all incoming signals.
Featuring only one input range, measureable temperatures are limited to that specific one. Type K can measure temperatures as low as -450℉, or -270℃, and temperatures as high as 2500℉, or 760℃. Direct temperature readings are displayed by F3-08THM-K, allowing for either ℉ or ℃ operation. Extra calculations or scaling is not required by the module, as all readings are accurate and acceptably formatted. All data information was provided by the National Bureau of Standards. All channels feature an integrated fault protected input, diverting power surges from disrupting the module. This allows for an absolute maximum rating of 130 Vrms, or 100 VDC. Automatic cold junction compensation (CJC) functionality is also included with the module.
Following all storage and installation parameters will prevent the device from accruing accidental damages. Although the device can measure extreme temperatures, F3-08THM-K only operates in temperature controlled environments. Ambient temperatures while operating can safely range from 32℉ to 140℉, or 0℃ to 60℃. Storage temperatures allow for more variation, with acceptable temperatures ranging as low as -4℉, or -20℃, and as high as 158℉, or 70℃. Be sure to refer to the device manual and datasheet for a complete installation and wiring guide. Automation Direct and Facts Engineering provided original technical support for this module.
