About the F3-16ND3F
The Automation Direct Facts Engineering Koyo F3-16ND3F is a DC fast response input module. A member of the DirectLogic 305 series, this sixteen channel module can interface with a number of controllers and devices. Each of the sixteen channels features a jumper selectable choice of sink or source. Two commons are found on the module, with both commons internally connected.
Monitoring incoming and outgoing voltage signals will prevent device overload, sparing F3-16ND3F from damage. Two input voltage ranges are accepted by the module, including 5 VDC TTL and CMOS and 12 to 24 VDC. Internal voltage supply is used with sinking loads, while external voltage supply uses sourcing loads. A jumper on the module allows the user to select the input voltage required. Peak voltage for the device registers 100 VDC or 35 VDC if continuous. A fast response module, voltage and current requirements are less than usual, allowing for rapid system response times. Minimum ON current ratings register 0.4 mA at 5 VDC or 0.9 mA at 12-24 VDC, while maximum OFF current ratings are 0.8 mA at 5 VDC or 2.2 mA at 12-24 VDC. This allows an OFF to ON response of 1 ms and an ON to OFF response of 1 ms.
Following all installation and storage parameters preserves the integrity of F3-16ND3F. Ambient temperatures should be monitored as it can affect the production quality of the module. When operating, temperatures can safely fall as low as 32℉, or 0℃, and raise as high as 140℉, or 60℃. Storage temperatures should also be monitored, with acceptable ranges falling between -20℉ and 158℉, or -20℃ to 70℃. Refer to the user manual and datasheet for all installation and wiring guides. Technical support for this device was originally provided by the manufacturer.
