About the D4-04B-1
The D4-04B-1 I/O Base has 4 slots. You can use the slots for for I/O devices and other types of devices. Adding some specialty modules to the expansion base is one type of module you can add. To add the speciality module, you must also add a new CPU base and all other expansion bases.
The temperature range is 32°F - 140°F (0° to 60°C) and the humidity is 30% - 95%). No corrosive gases in the environment is allowed. 80 mA is the required 5V current requirement. No auxiliary 24 VDC is supplied. The weight is 23.3 oz. (660g).
Consider the following information about the D4-04B-1 I/O Base.
-
A specialty module installed in the D4-04B-1 is supported only by the DL450 type CPU (in the local base).
-
The D4-04B-1 is designed to support the data signals used in communicating with a specialty I/O across bases.
-
Older CPUs do not support the speciality I/O modules in the expansion modules.
-
The standard bases do not pass through the specialty I/O signals on the expansion connectors if you mix standard bases with the D4-04B-1 in a system.
To add speciality modules, use the expansion bases such as the D4-04B-1 if you plan to configure a new system.
