About the D4-16TA
The Automation Direct Facts Engineering Koyo D4-16TA is an AC output module. Developed for the DirectLogic 405 series, this module is capable of interfacing with programmable logic controllers and external peripheral devices. This module features sixteen output channels integrated into the device. Two commons serve as the terminating point for the channels, with half ending at either point.
As voltages and currents surge through the module, monitoring these levels can prevent unnecessary damage to the device. When operating a voltage between 15 and 265 VAC is required, with an expected AC frequency between 47 and 63 Hz. The peak voltage sustainable by the device measures at 265 VAC. When outputting, D4-16TA outputs in Solid State Relay, SSR, and triac. The maximum sustained current per channel measures at 0.5A per point. Maximum currents for the module’s commons are temperature specific. Should temperatures be at 45℃, or 113℉, then the max current rates at 3A per common. If temperatures reach 60℃, or 140℉, then the rate drops to 2A per common. All status indicators for the module can be found on the logic side of the terminal.
Following all installation and storage parameters will prevent the device from incurring any unnecessary damage. When operating, ambient temperatures of the operating facility should be monitored to maintain safe ranges. Acceptable temperatures can fall as low as 0℃, or 32℉, and raise as high as 60℃, or 140℉. Storage temperatures offer more flexibility, with safe ranges falling between -20℃ and 70℃, or -4℉ and 158℉. All wiring and installation protocols are available in the corresponding series manual and device datasheet. Technical support for this module was originally provided by the manufacturers, Automation Direct and Facts Engineering.
