About the D4-16TR
The Automation Direct Facts Engineering Koyo D4-16TR is a relay output module. Developed for the DirectLogic 405 series, this module interfaces with DL405 programmable logic controllers as well as external peripheral devices. The module is outfitted with sixteen outputs capable of producing both DC and AC outputs. All sixteen channels terminate into one of two isolated commons located in the module. A Form A (SPST-N0) output type is created and produced by the device.
Unnecessary damage and device overloading is avoidable by monitoring voltage and current levels in the module. An operating voltage of either 5 to 30 VDC or 5 to 250 VAC is required. When operating VAC, an AC frequency between 47 and 63 Hz is expected. The peak voltage that D4-16TR can sustain registers at 30 VDC and 250 VAC. While operating, the maximum resistive current each channel can support measures at 1 A per point, while each common can support up to 5 A per common. A 5V base power of maximum 1000 mA, or 60 mA per point is needed to operate.
All outlined installation and storage parameters should be followed to prevent any unnecessary device damage. Ambient temperatures can affect the overall quality of D4-16TR, therefore they should be monitored. While the module is operating, temperatures can safely fall as low as 32℉, or 0℃, and raise as high as 140℉, or 70℃. Even when the device is not in use, storage temperatures can affect the integrity of the drive. Storage temperatures can range from -4℉ to 158℉, or -20℃ to 70℃. A complete wiring and installation guide is available in the corresponding user manual and device datasheet. Technical support for this module was originally provided by the manufacturers, Automation Direct and Koyo.
