About the D4-32ND3-1
The Automation Direct Facts Engineering Koyo D4-32ND3-1 is a DC input module. Developed for the DirectLogic 405 series of programmable logic controllers, this 32 channel module can easily be used with other peripheral devices. All 32 of the module’s points are sink/ source input channels. These points terminate into one of four isolated commons integrated into the module.
Voltage and current levels should be monitored to protect D4-32ND3-1 from overloading and damages. The module is capable of inputting between 20 and 28 VDC, with a peak voltage of 30 VDC. To register an ON voltage level, greater than 19V must be present, while an OFF voltage requires less than 10V to register. The input current of the device measures a 5 mA when inputting 24 VDC. The minimum ON current required by the module is 3.5 mA, while the maximum OFF current caps at 1.6 mA.
Following all outlined safety and storage protocols will defend the device from unwanted damages. Ambient temperatures of the facility housing D4-32ND3-1 can affect the quality of the module. While operating, maintain temperatures between 32℉ and 140℉, or 0℃ and 60℃. Even if the device is not in use, extreme climates can degrade the module. Storage temperatures can safely fall as low as -4℉, or -20℃, and raise as high as 158℉, or 70℃. All wiring and installation parameters can be found in the series manual and device datasheet. Technical support for this module was originally provided by Automation Direct and Koyo, the manufacturers.
