About the D4-HPP-1
The D4-HPP-1 is a Direct Logic Handheld programmer unit designed by Automation Direct for use with their DL405 system of I/Os, bases, and other modules.
The D4-HPP-1 can only be plugged into Port zero located on the DL405 CPU. This is a fifteen-pin female D connector set at 9600 baud. The port is asynchronous, half-duplex, and offers non-isolated connections up to fifty feet.
The D4-HPP-1 requires a 5V current. It supports relay ladder logic programming and stage programming. This unit can be used to modify, create, or debug applications. The HPP can read, erase, or write programs, insert instructions, search or replace instructions, and can locate a specific address. There is a memory cartridge slot located on the side of the unit that allows users to copy data from the cartridge to the CPU, or to copy CPU memory to the cartridge. The unit can be mounted directly to the CPU or it can be cabled for flexibility.
The keypad on the front of the D4-HPP-1 includes instruction keys, instruction identifier keys, numeric keys, and editing and monitoring keys. The unit also has various LED indicators and an LCD display. The display is backlit, but backlighting can be turned off if preferred.
Automation Direct manuals will provide additional information about the D4-HPP-1, including information regarding the setting of retentive memory ranges and how to set the unit’s CPU address. If you no longer have access to your original documentation, AX Control may be able to help.
