About the F4-04AD

The power budget requirement for the F4-04AD, 4-Channel Analog Input Module is 85mA (supplied by base). The environmental air requirement is no corrosive gases permitted.  The operating temperature 0-60°C (32-140°F). The relative humidity 5–95% (non-condensing).

The F4-04AD 4-Channel Analog Input Module is a 4-channel analog input module. The input type is single-ended or differential. The input ranges are 0–5, 1–5, 0–10, 5, 10 VDC, 0–20, and 4–20 mA. The PLC update rate is 4 channels per scan maximum. The input points requirement is 16 or 32 (X) input points 12 data bits, 4 bits optional for twos complement mode, 4 channel select bits, and 12 bits unused in 32 bit mode.

The F4-04AD can be installed in any slot in a DL230. However, one consideration is that if the module is placed so the input points do not start on a V-memory boundary, the instructions cannot access the data. The F4-04AD, 4-Channel Analog Input Module contains valuable hardware features.

  • The analog inputs are optically isolated from the PLC logic.

  • For improved usability and portability, the terminal block is easily removable to ensure the module is easily removable without disconnecting wiring.

  • If a DL440 or DL450 CPU is used, all four channels can be read in one scan.

  • The F4-04AD supports four differential voltage or current inputs.
