About the F4-08RTD
The F4-08RTD, 8-Channel RTD Input Module contains features to improve reliability, usability, and flexibility.
-
The F4-08RTD contains eight RTD input channels with 16-bit resolution.
-
Dual matched current sources and ratiometric measurements are provided through precision lead wire resistance compensation.
-
Data from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is used for temperature calculation and linearization.
-
Detection of short circuits and input power disconnection are some of the diagnostic features.
The F4-08RTD, 8-Channel RTD Input Module is a 8-differential channel resistive temperature detector input module. The number of channels is 8 differential inputs. The resolution is ±0.1°C, ±0.1°F (±3276.7). The power budget requirement is 80 mA at 5VDC (supplied by base). The environmental air requirement is no corrosive gases permitted. The operating temperature is 0-60°C (32-140°F). The relative humidity 5–95% (non-condensing).
The PLC update rate is 8 channels per scan maximum with DL440 and DL450 CPUs. The PLC update rate is 1 channel per scan maximum with a DL430 CPU. The common mode range 0-5 VDC. Consider that if a DL430 CPU is used and the module is placed so the input points do not start on a V-memory boundary, the instructions cannot access the data.
The F4-08RTD can be installed in any slot in a DL405 system. Considerations are the available power budget and the discrete I/O points.
