About the F4-16AD-1
The Automation Direct Facts Engineering Koyo F4-16AD-1 is a analog current input module. Developed for the DirectLogic 405 series, this sixteen channel module is capable of interfacing with DL405 logic controllers and external I/O devices. An analog current input module, this device is capable of relaying current signals from peripheral devices. The integrated 12 bit resolution converts incoming voltage signals from a peripheral device into digitally digestible signals. The sixteen channels features on the module are single ended points, all terminating into a single common.
Monitoring current levels of the device will ensure the module is operating within its electrical limits. Two input ranges are supported by F4-16AD-1. Jumper selection allows the user to choose between 0 and 20 mA or 4 and 20 mA as the input range. Each channel must be configured for the same range. Current inputs register an absolute maximum rating of ±45 mA. A 5V base power requirement of 100 mA must be met for the device to perform properly.
All installation and storage parameters should be followed to prevent any avoidable damages. F4-16AD-1 is temperature sensitive and requires a controlled climate. When operating, ambient temperatures of the facility can fall as low as 0℃, or 32℉, and raise as high as 60℃, or 140℉. When when not in use, temperatures can affect the circuitry of the device. Storage temperatures can safely range from -20℃ to 70℃, or -4℉ to 158℉. Refer to the user manual and device datasheet for a complete guide to wiring and installing the module. The manufacturers provided original technical support for this module.
