About the F4-16DA-1
The Automation Direct Facts Engineering Koyo F4-16DA-1 is an analog current output module. This sixteen channel module is a member of the DirectLogic 405 series. It interfaces with same series programmable logic controllers as well as external peripheral devices. As an analog current output module, this device converts digital signals from the PLC into analog digestible current signals. These current outputs are then sent to attached peripheral devices. The system’s integrated 12-bit resolution works to precisely convert the incoming signals.
When operating a device like F4-16DA-1, it is important to monitor the current levels in the module. An output range of 4 to 20 mA is supported by this device. The produced output range sinks from an external supply field. An external power supply between 21.6 and 26.4 VDC is required by the device. The peak output voltage supported by the module rates at 40 VDC, but only when there is no transient voltage suppression. A 5V base power requirement of 90 mA must be met for the device to function properly.
Following all installation and storage parameters will prevent the module from incurring any unnecessary damages. A temperature sensitive device, a climate controlled environment is ideal for housing F4-16DA-1. While the device is operating, ambient temperatures can safely range from 0℃ to 60℃, or 32℉ to 140℉. Should the device be placed in storage, temperatures should still be monitored to prevent any damages. Acceptable ranges fall between -20℃, or -4℉, and 70℃, or 158℉. Refer to the series manual and device datasheet for detailed installation and wiring instructions. Technical support for this device was provided by the original manufacturers.
