Built and produced by the industrial monitor and scanner manufacturers Cognex, this is one of the DataMan barcode scanner modules. One out of the four series in the line—the 150 and the 152, and the 260 and 262 models, the DMR-150QL-00 is one of the 150 designated units.
The DMR-150QL-00 is a scanner with a great amount of features that make it easier to be configured to be set up in whatever way that best suits the needs of any particular workplace set up. The unit’s physical configuration is able to be changed into either a straight, in-line configuration, which gives it the dimensions of 43.1 mm by 22.4 mm by 55 (63) mm, and then in the right, 90 degree angle configuration, which gives it the dimensions of 43.1 mm by 28.8 (35.8) mm, by 49.3 mm. These set ups get rid of the need for any external systems to help the scanner view any products, such as the need for a complicated mirror system.
The DMR-150QL-00 is outfitted with an ⅓ inch CMOS imager, with a global shutter, capable of rendering image in a 752 by 480 pixel resolution, and has a frame rate of 60 frames per second, and a decoding rate of 45 decodes per second.
This model comes integrated with a series of LED lights, a pair of green aimer LEDs, and 5 indicator LEDs for the DMR-150QL-00’s status and updates, which is also indicated by a beeper unit.
