This model is the most advanced of the 152 categories of Cognex’s DataMan series of barcode and matrix scanners. The DMR-152X-00 is programmed with the capabilities to read 1-D stacked codes, omnidirectional 1-D codes, oriented 1-D codes, and 2-D codes, thanks to the 1DMax and 2DMax algorithms. These algorithms make it possible for the barcodes to be read and successfully scanned, even if the label was poorly printed, or damaged, even with large sections of the code’s pattern missing, such as the clocking pattern or the finder pattern.
The DMR-152X-00 model is able to decode these patterns at 45 codes per second, and has a frame acquisition rate of 45 frames per second. There’s a ⅓ inch complementary metal/oxide semiconductor imager, which has a pixel resolution of 1280 x 960, and is also equipped with a global shutter. The optics hardware that’s compatible with this, and the other DataMan models includes either a 6.2 or 16 millimeter lens, and additions of polarized and unpolarized lens covers, with a liquid lens kit as well.
The DMR-152X-00’s dimensions change between the two configuration settings (standard in-line, or right angle). The in-line dimensions are 43.1 mm by 22.4 mm by 55 (63) mm, while the right angle’s are 43.1 mm by 28.8 (35.8) mm by 49.3 mm. Regardless of whatever configuration, the DMR-152X-00 weighs 128 grams.
