About the DMR-260Q-0110
DMR-260Q-0110
The DataMan barcode reader is a module of inventory ID hardware from the visual industrial automation company, Cognex. There are four designations for the DataMan scanners. There are the 150 and the 152 models, and the 260 and the 262 models. This one is one of the 260 modules.
The software capabilities that the DMR-260Q-0110 is able to process is only the base level programming of the DataMan series. Only 1-D type barcodes can be read and analyzed, ranging from stacked, oriented, and omnidirectional 1-D codes. Despite any damage the labels may have suffered, the 1-D barcode recognition software (1DMax, paired with the Hotbars II package deal) will be able to read it. The labels may also have been printed with poor quality, and may suffer from poor kerning and spacing, but the advanced Cognex algorithms will be able to decode and identify the barcode. The DMR-260Q-0110 is able to process them at a rate of 45 decodes per second, when the inventory line is operating at a top speed of 300 feet per minute.
The DMR-260Q-0110 model comes equipped with no moving parts whatsoever, as to decrease the frequency in which repairs will be needed. There is a global shutter, which gives it an acquisition rating of 60 FPS (frames per second), and scanner is able to process these images thanks to the CMOS (complementary metal/oxide semiconductor) sensory unit. An auto tune button and a high powered LED light system are also integrated into the frame of the DMR-260Q-0110.
