About the DMR-260S
DMR-260S
This model of the Cognex DataMan line of barcode readers is from the 260 designated category. The DataMan series has four separate categories, the 150, the 152, the 260, and then the 262. These fixed mount, image based ID readers are designed for routing zones, tote scanning, and other short/medium distance functions, at belt speeds of 300 feet per minute, and then decoding at a rate of 45 codes per second.
The DMR-260S module runs the latest, most powerful Cognex algorithms at high speeds, making it capable of scanning and decoding barcode and matrix codes, regardless of the print quality of the label, or if it has been minorly damaged, or if major sections of the code are missing (such as the clocking or finder patterns, or if there’s a quiet zone in the code).
The DMR-260S is outfitted with only solid state materials, as this type of components require less repair than moving parts like lasers and raster units. The images are captured by a lens (the user is able to choose which size best fits their needs, the 6.2 mm or 16 mm), and then internally by a complementary metal/oxide semiconductor (CMOS) imager. Its CMOS imager is capable of a 752 x 480 pixel image resolution, and a frame acquisition rate of 60 frames per second.
This model is powered by an intake between a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 26 volts of direct current, via a USB bus power option.
