About the DMR-260S-0120
DMR-260S-0120
This model is one of several in a series of barcode and QR matrix scanners dubbed the “DataMan” series. They were developed and originally produced by Cognex, which is one of the leading manufacturers of visual sensors, scanners, and monitors. This lineup of products are a series of immobile scanners built to be mounted into a wall and aimed at an assembly line belt or inventory processing belt. In this series, there are the DataMan 150 and 152 models, and then the 260 and 262 models. The DMR-260S-0120 model falls into the 260 designation.
The basic scanning capabilities of the DMR-260S-0120 enable it to successfully read 1-D barcodes at a rate of 45 decodings per second. The software that makes this decoding process possible is the package made up of 1DMax and Hotbars II.
The specifications of this DataMan scanner model give it two physical configurations for the visual intake: a standard in-line setup, giving it dimensions of 43.1 mm x 22.4 mm x 64 mm, and then a right angle, 90 degree setup with dimensions of 43.1 mm x 35.8 mm x 49.3 mm. The standard weight of the 260/262 models is 142 grams.
The hardware that makes up the DMR-260S-0120 is entirely composed of solid state parts, no moving materials of any kind, such as lasers or rasters. There are a series of LEDs on the side of the model, five multicolored lights to indicate to any operators a change in the model’s actions or in the status, and there is also an auditory alarm unit installed as well, in case the model is out of the operator’s line of sight.
