For sale from us at AX Control Inc, this product, the 825-10338-1R, is a part that makes up the various models of the DataMan barcode scanner. Initially, these scanners were developed, produced, and manufactured and sold by Cognex, the industrial vision hardware company. Cognex are the makers of several industrial grade cameras, like in their In-Sight 2000 and 8000 series, as well as this, their DataMan series, with the wall-mounted, configurable 150/152 models and the 200/260/262 models, and then the handheld, mobile, 800/850/855 models.
These scanners all have fairly similar specifications physically, but with the software capabilities, the 1-D and 2-D reading software programs, 1DMax and 2DMax, handle all of the code reading. 1DMax is the software that allows these scanners to be able to read 1-D codes, regardless of printing quality, or whether or not they have been stacked, or are oriented oddly, or if they are omnidirectionally printed. The 1DMax software also comes included with the Hotbars II algorithm.
2DMax allows for the more advanced scanner models (given the configuration identifying letter of X). 2-D type barcodes, matrix codes, and Quick Response (QR) codes are able to be processed, again, regardless of the quality of the label’s printing.
All of the scanners are protected with the same grading of protective casing: an IP-65 rated frame. These frames protect from any invasive hazards, such as dust mucking up the internal hardware, or any possible water damage. They also become a more durable product, able to withstand a fall of up to 2 meters, or 6.5 feet onto rough, hard concrete.
