About the DMR-262X-0161
DMR-262X-0161
The DataMan line of advanced barcode and matrix code readers and scanners were developed, manufactured, and produced by Cognex. Cognex is the manufacturing company that has produced numerous series of hardware for assembly lines and warehouses, from the In-Sight 2000 vision sensor to these DataMan barcode scanners.
The DataMan series is divided up into four separate categories of scanners: the 150 models, the 152 models, the 260 models, and the 262 models, which is what this model is a part of. This identifying designation refers to the hardware capabilities and setup. Divided further, there’s the alphabetical designations, the L, QL, and X designations, which refers to its software capabilities.
The DMR-262X-0161 model is outfitted with solid state components for its hardware: a set of 6 I/O ports, 5 LED lights on its side to indicate status and action to the operators, an integrated light system of high intensity LEDs, and an RS-232 port and an Ethernet plug interface. The visual specifications give the DMR-262X-0161 a choice between a 6.2 millimeter lens and a 16 millimeter lens, depending on the user’s configuration preferences for the job at hand. Its CMOS image sensor allows it to capture images with its global shutter in a clear 1280 x 960 pixel resolution, and is able to acquire a frame rate of 45 frames per second.
There are two physical configurations for the DMR-262X-0161, and all the other models of the DataMan series. There’s the standard in-line configuration, and then a 90 degree, right angle configuration. Both of these set ups make each model able to be placed into a variety of industrial workplaces.
