About the DMR-850
DMR-850
The DataMan series of code readers and scanners, ranging from the wall-mounted, immobile, larger 150/152 and 260/262 models to the handheld scanners of the 800/850/855 series, were all developed and manufactured by Cognex.
The DMR-850 model is designed to deliver accurate and fast data of the 1-D type barcodes and 2-D data matrix and QR (quick response) codes. The 850 model is built for a fast-paced industrial production environment. The 1/3 inch CMOS imager enables the processing and capture of the data from codes at a much faster rate that similar, non-Cognex data readers, to optimize the most amount of productivity for your workplace.
There’s a 624 megahertz microprocessor unit, able to decode both 1-D and 2-D codes, regardless of label size, in mere milliseconds.
The DataMan 850 is outfitted with an IP-65 graded protective casing and a tempered glass lense for its optics. It’s frame makes it able to withstand several drops of 6.5 feet (2 meters) onto a rough, concrete surface. The IP-65 rated seal of the case makes the scanner’s internal hardware impervious to dust and possible water damage.
The physical dimensions of the handheld DataMan scanners are largely similar in shape, but size differences may vary. The DMR-850 is given a length of 7.34 inches/18.65 centimeters, a width of 4.82 in/12.25 cm, and a depth of 2.93 in/7.43 cm. The standard weight of the DMR-850 is 13.79 ounces, or 391 grams.
