About the DMR-855-00
DMR-855-00
One of the barcode scanner modules that were originally built and produced by Cognex, one of the leading providers of visual hardware and monitors for inventory. These models, ranging from wall-mounted, immobile units of the 150, the 152, the 260, and the 262 modules, and then the hand held 800 series, are capable of reading both 1-D bar codes, and the more advanced models are able to scan 2-D models.
The DataMan 855 series of scanners is one of those much more advanced models in Cognex’s series, fully capable of 1-D barcodes and 2-D matrix codes and quick response (QR) codes.
The DMR-855-00 is one of Cognex’s handheld models, and able to withstand multiple drops to a hard, rough concrete surface, from up to a height of 2 meters, or 6.5 feet. The scanner is protected with a full covering that has been awarded a grading of IP-65. The scanner’s optics are protected with a tempered, scratch resistant lens.
Integrated into the system is a 650 nanometer sized laser diode, and a LED for illumination measuring at 630 nanometers. The standard dimensions of the DMR-855-00 measures out to 7.34 inches in length, 4.82 inches in width, and a depth of 2.93 inches. The average standard weight of the DataMan 855 scanner measures out to 391 grams, or 13.79 ounces. The internal power source used for the DMR-855-00 is a 2200 milliamp Hour lithium/ion battery.
Also integrated into the DataMan 855 is a Bluetooth unit, so that the model is completely wireless.
