Cognex Visions is the manufacturer behind the production of the In-Sight line of devices. The IS2000-120C Mini is one of the several devices in this series. These units are a subcategory of much smaller vision scanners. The Cognex In-Sight Mini series are 68% smaller than the regular modules, but are also able to fit into tighter, smaller areas and are able to be mounted in these spots as well. This allows for tighter angles to scan and analyze data in.
Regarding its construction and frame, the IS2000-120C Mini is designed with two sets of configuration. There is the in-line configuration, which has the standard dimensions of 43 mm x 22 mm x 64 mm (1.69 in x 0.88 in x 2.51 in). The right-angle configuration has a slightly different series of dimensions: 43 mm x 35.8 mm x 49.3 mm (1.69 in x 1.4 in x 1.94 in).
The image recorded within the IS2000-120C Mini is captured by the standard 1/3 inch CMOS image module, and is rendered in a full color display. The liquid lens that the Mini models are outfitted with, are capable of autofocus abilities when scanning. The image modes available for this model are a standard resolution of 640 x 480, and at two times magnification, can either stay the same resolution, or increase to 800 x 600 pixels. The IS2000-120C Mini module scans and analyzes data at a rate of 55 frames per second.
The frame of the unit is built of aluminum, painted the Cognex yellow and black. The frame is graded with a IP-65 rating.
