With 24 volts of direct current and 48 Watts, the IS2000M models are powered up and immediately ready to be configured to the user’s needs in assembly line monitoring and flaw inspection. These models have been tested to handle 1000 shocks and 10 Gs of vibration, so they’re one of the strongest, most durable and industrial vision sensors on the market. Designed to be as user-friendly as possible for the workforce, the IS2000M series models are equipped with LEDs to display device status and actions. All of Cognex’s In-Sight 2000 models include strong integrated LED illumination that eliminates the need for costly external lights for assembly lines.
In an IP-65 rated housing of yellow painted aluminum, and weighing 142 grams (5 ounces) and two separate measurements with each configuration, the in-line configuration gives it a length of 43.1 mm (1.69 in), a width of 22.4 mm (0.88 in), and a height of 64 mm (2.51 in). The right angle configuration’s length remains the same, but the width becomes 35.8 mm (1.40 in) and the height becomes 49.3 mm (1.94 in).
A 4.8 mm by 3.6 mm CMOS captures imagery, and does so with the standard 8 mm lens, held by an S Mount. Other lens sizes range between 3.6 mm and 25 mm. The shutter speed is 0 to 1000 ms, and its maximum acquisition rate is 75 fps. The image resolution stays the same between the five models: 640 x 480 pixels with a bit depth of 256 gray levels (8 bits/pixel). These models have a 500 mm by 300 mm (20 in by 15 in) field of vision.
