The VisionView 900 Human Machine Interface (HMI) touch screen panel is integrated into the IS2000M-120-40-S14 to help those of any experience level—from experts to those slightly familiar, to a first-time users, with Cognex brand vision sensors.
Its optics have a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels, utilizing one of two compatible lense sizes, the 6.2 millimeter lens, or the 16 millimeter lens. With physical dimensions of 43.1 mm by 22.4 mm by 2.51 mm, and a weight of 142 grams, this miniature unit has been tested with a high volt shock test and an intense vibration test at its three main axis points, just like all of Cognex’s heavy-duty industrial automation monitoring technology.
The miniature variants have a smaller range of vision when compared to the regularly sized In-Sight 2000 models, with a width of 75 to 200 millimeters, depending on which sized lens the unit is equipped with, the 6.2 mm or 16mm. Of course, given the much smaller size of the line of micro units, this model requires much, much less power than that of the usual In-Sight 2000 series, listed in the Cognex datasheet as less then 3 Watts of energy needed to operate.
Network connecting for this unit requires an Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, SLMP Scanner, Modbus TCP, TCP/IP, UDP, FTP, Telnet (Native Mode), and an RS-232. Compatible with an industrial M12 Ethernet trigger, and the CIO-1400 input and output extension module, granting the unit up to 7 input ports and 8 outputs once the extension is attached properly. In order to set it up safely, the manual supplies instructions with a visual diagram.
