Two ports in and four ports out (though compatible with the CIO-1400 I/O extension module) the In-Sight model IS2000M-120-40-S24’s input current is 3.6 milliamperes at 28 volts of direct current, and its high speed transfer output maintains a current of 50 mA. The user interfaces integrated into the model are the In-Sight Explorer EasyBuilder, the Cognex VisionView PC software, and the VisionView 900 Human/Machine interface touch screen.
The model’s size is compact when compared to the regular line of Cognex vision sensors: 43.1 millimeters by 22.4 mm by 64 mm (1.69 inches by 0.88 in by 2.51 in). It’s also much lighter, weighing at exactly 142 grams, or 5 ounces.
Equipped with a monochromatic complementary metal/oxide semiconductor (CMOS) imager a third of an inch in size, and two choices of an autofocus liquid lens size (6.2 mm or 16 mm), this model’s standard image resolution is 640 x 480 pixels, capable of magnifying up to twice its image. Its maximum acquisition speed is 75 frames per second. The integrated light system is made up of a standard red LEDs, though blue, infra-red, and white LED lights are compatible options. Band pass lens filters and polarizing caps are available options as well.
Its relative processing speed is twice as fast when compared to the IS2000M-110 subcategory of models. It’s also more capable of a product in terms of location and inspection tools, able to identify and analyze patterns, and measure brightness and contrast in the image, in a grayscale pixel count.
