About the CCB-84901-0902-05
The Cognex CCB-84901-0902-05 is a standard straight input/output module cable. Both the Insight 3400 and the Insight 5000 series of vision systems are compatible with this cable. The Cognex Insight 3400 series and the Cognex Insight 5000 series are both used for machine vision applications. They are tough enough to be used in industrial applications. It provides a hardwire connection from external I/O modules to the actual camera system.
This unit provides an M12 to DB15 connector to interface I/O modules to the system. Using this, direct access to the system’s power, trigger, high-speed outputs, and ground signals is available. Eight inputs, as well as eight outputs, can be run from the vision system and external I/O module using this cable. In its entirety, this connector measures 5 meters, or 15 feet, and is a black cable with a yellow overmold.
Even though CCB-84901-0902-05 is a cable, environmental conditions must be monitored to maintain ideal device functionality. The entire system has temperature constraints that must be placed on the operating facility. The cable works best in temperatures no lower than -25℃ (-13℉) and no higher than 80℃ (176℉). Be sure to monitor ambient temperatures as they relate to the vision system itself and the external I/O module. These devices will have temperature sensitivities that may vary from those of the cable.
