About the IS5400-C00
IS5400-C00 is the base model full-color vision system developed by Cognex. A member of the Insight 5000 series, this module is capable of monitoring a number of high-speed systems. All images feature vibrant 24-bit color, producing an array of available colors. The 64 MB of photo memory works to process the images captured by the camera module. An additional 32 MB of nonvolatile flash memory provides the user a space to save programs and jobs. If more memory is required, a remote network would allow for unlimited storage potential.
The 640 x 480-pixel resolution ensures that IS5400-C00 provides the user with clear images. Images can be acquired quickly as the module features an 8 times speed rating and the ability to capture 60 frames per second. Various tool and ID systems provide the user with a variety of features. Examples of these include 1-D and 2-D barcode verification, nonlinear calibration, and image filtering. A variety of communication ports are included on the device. An Ethernet and a 10/100 BaseT TCP/IP protocol are the main communications ports. An RS232C port is also available for I/O communication.
Following all storage and installation parameters will prevent the device from incurring any unnecessary damages. Temperature sensitivities dictate the need for IS5400-C00 to be housed in a climate-controlled space. While operating, ambient temperatures of the facility can range from 0℃ to 45℃, or 32℉ to 113℉. Temperatures of any storage facility should also be monitored as damages can occur even if the device is off. Acceptable storage temperatures can range as low as -30℃, or -22℉, and as high as 80℃, or 176℉. Refer to the series manual and device datasheet for a complete installation guide.
