Features
The IS5400-S10 has several features to ensure factory operations run smoothly and efficiently. The stainless steel housing of the IS5400-S10 offers IP68-rated protection against debris and water so the internal components of the vision system remain working, even in wash-down environments. The high-speed processor operates 12 times faster than the base Micro 1020 In-Sight model. The standard 640 by 480 resolution and fast 60 frames per second frame rate of the IS5400-S10 allow clear images to be taken while dealing with fast-moving machinery and parts. The IS5400-S10 supports Cognex's base, essential, extended, and ID toolsets. This adds a host of useful features to improve the efficiency and capability of the vision system.
Patmax
Patmax technology allows this vision system to rapidly identify objects through Cognex's pattern matching technology. Patmax's pattern matching is able to locate objects with a high degree of accuracy despite any potential transformations in size, stretching, or rotation. In situations where lighting or mechanical fixturing may be expensive to adjust to accommodate a regular vision system, Patmax allows the IS5400-S10 to find parts in difficult conditions.
