About the IS5603-01
The Cognex IS5603-01 is a high resolution camera system developed for the Insight 5000 series. Best suited for monitoring large scale machinery or production lines, this device can provide detailed and accurate images. The lens is capable of capturing 16 frames per second in a high definition 1600 x 1200 pixel resolution. An image processing system of 256 MB ensures that all captured images are clear. Additional flash storage provides 128 MB of job and program storage.
A 20 times speed rating compliments the high resolution abilities of the device. IS5603-01 features more options than the base model, with extended tool and ID services included. A few of these capabilities include barcode identification, nonlinear calibration, and text reading. Two high speed network ports are also integrated into the system. These ports include an Ethernet and a 10/100/1000 BaseT protocol. These networking spots can also provide additional program storage to the user. Serial I/O interfacing is possible as well using the RS232C connection.
Maintaining the device depends upon following all provided installation and storage parameters. With temperature sensitive components included on the device, a controlled environment is recommended to protect the device. While operating, IS5603-01 can sustain temperatures as low as 0℃, or 32℉, and as high as 45℃, or 113℉. Storage temperatures should also be monitored as these can impact the parts. Acceptable storage temperatures can range from -30℃ to 80℃, or -22℉ to 176℉. Refer to the device datasheet and user manual for a complete installation guide.
