About the IS5610-01
The Cognex IS5610-01 is a high-performance ID reader from the In-Sight 5000 series. This model is designed to read codes and text on high-speed production lines. Developed from Cognex's PatMax software, this device features IDMax, a proprietary software that reads and verifies text and 1- and 2- dimensional barcodes. Text consumption is possible with the device using the advanced OCR/OCV tools. Barcodes and other coding methods can be read at over 7200 ppm. The system speed is further enhanced when combined with the image acquisition rate of 60 frames per second and the 20 times speed rating.
IS5610-01 houses 256 MB of image storage to process captured photos into a 640 x 480-pixel resolution. Additionally, it contains another 128 MB of nonvolatile flash storage for storing jobs and programs. This device is a high-performance model, as it features a 1 GHz processor to run programs like the Cognex tool library. Quick speeds from the module will ensure that tool sets from the library run efficiently on the device. Identification tools built into the device include barcode reading, text verification, and image filters. For remote networking, the device includes an Ethernet and a 10/100/1000 BaseT protocol. Additional serial interfacing is possible using an RS232C connection and an appropriate external I/O module.
The storage and installation parameters will ensure the device is within the defined limits. IS5610-01 includes some temperature-sensitive parts, thus requiring a controlled housing climate. When the device is operating, ambient temperatures of the line must measure between 32°F and 113°F (0°C and 45°C). Storage conditions can affect the device's integrity if not stored properly. Ambient temperatures when the device is not operating should fall between -22°F (-30°C) and 176°F (80°C).
