About the IS5615-10
The IS5615-10 is a fixed mount identification (ID) system developed for the Cognex Insight 5000 series. As an identification system, this device can read and verify both 1- and 2- dimensional barcodes as well scanned text. These abilities are possible using the IDMax software. A derivative of Cognex’s revolutionary PatMax software, the IDMax software pairs with advanced OCR/OCV tools to intelligently read codes. Codes scanned by this device are read at a rate of over 7200 ppm. Overall, the system is remarkably fast, with an overall system speed rating of 20 times.
As a high performance system, the IS5615-10 features a 1 GHz processor to efficiently run the Cognex tool library. This system allows for all identification tools housed in the library to run at real time speeds with no lag. Included library ID are barcode and text reading and verification as well as image filters. 256 MB of image processing memory renders each photo into a high resolution 2448 x 2048 pixels. A flash memory cache of 128 MB provides ample storage space for jobs and programs. High speed communications ports provide Ethernet and a 10/100/1000 BaseT protocol hookups, as well as an RS232C connection.
Proper storage and installation parameters should be reviewed before installing this device. Because of temperature restrictions, IS5615-10 must be housed in a controlled operating climate. Once the device is mounted on a line, ambient temperatures of the operating facility can range from 0℃ to 45℃ (32℉ to 113℉).
