About the IS8402C
IS8402C
With a full color image display and 1600 by 1200 pixel resolution, Cognex’s 80402C model of their In-Sight 8000 line is over twice as efficient, quick, and computational as their 8200 models. Able to hold both 512 megabytes of program and job memory and 512 megabytes of imaging and processor memory (1024 megabytes in total, converting into 1.024 gigabytes).
Able to capture 33 frames in each second with its global shutter and the complementary metal/oxide semiconductor (CMOS), this industrial camera is meant for the monitoring and detection and analysis of assembly line products and if any flaws or defects in the product or labeling are present. The IS8402C’s available software package comes installed with PatMax, and the optional addition, PatMax RedLine, both developed by Cognex to run the camera’s flaw detection subroutine processes. Spreadsheet capabilities, InspectEdge processes, and JavaScript repetitive scripting are abilities that are also available.
With three IO ports (1 dedicated input trigger, two high speed transfer outputs) the 8402 models are compatible only with a Gigabit Ethernet connection. A pair of red and green LED lights are near the IO ports, conveying the unit’s network connectivity status, and are able to be configured by the user.
The usual Cognex dimensions apply to the IS8402 series, 31 millimeters by 31.2 millimeters by 75.1 millimeters, and 132.2 grams in weight. When attached to the accessory C mount by the 4 threaded mount holes, the product’s length increases by 8 millimeters.
