IS8402M-373-50 is an In-Sight 8402 model camera from Cognex, machine vision and barcode reader manufacturers. Intended for use in monitoring assembly line production and filtering through barcode scans and discrepancies in quality.

The IS8402M-373-50 monochromatically records video with the CMOS global shutter sensor. Image resolution is 1600 x 1200 pixels, 53 fps. C-Mount attaches to the IS8401M-373-50 model to anchor it to a surface. 3 I/O ports in total, 1 opto-isolated input, and 2 opto-isolated, high-speed output, and two, user-configurable LED lights. 1-D Barcode reader, and a 2-D Barcode scanner are equipped into the model as well, with basic Optical Character Recognition and Optical Character Verification.

The software suite contains PatMax and PatMax RedLine, used in flaw detection, and also includes InspectEdge, JavaScript, Spreadsheet, and EasyBuilder. This essential software in the IS8402M-373-50 allows for geometry, histogram making, program recognition, string parsing, edge, line, curve, and blob inspection for products. A caliper assessment tool has been built in for both standard and nonlinear calibrating.

In-Sight 8402 models require 5.2.0 firmware, much like the rest of the series.
